Enhancing biodiversity and wildlife for public spaces one m2 at a time!

From the outset, we have championed wildflower installation and biodiversity. One of our core values is to increase natural wildlife and habitats across the country.

Our slogan 'Horticultural Excellence' reflects our mission as a company and our status as a leading installer of wildflower meadows and mixed native hedging has been a fundamental aspect of our identity from day one.

We were absolutely delighted when we were approached to install a wildflower garden for our local parish council in Moulton. This project has been a resounding success, well-received by the local community, enhancing the playing fields, and attracting diverse wildlife to the area.

With many more installations underway and in the pipeline, watch this space! From beehive gardens to wildflower meadows and aquatic areas, we have already created and installed thousands of square meters, with many more to come.

So, what are the benefits of wildflower meadows, and why do we need them?

Wildflower meadows are a remarkable habitat, a sanctuary for wildlife that heralds the start of spring, and an essential part of the UK landscape that is sadly diminishing each year.

By definition, wildflowers are our native flowers, unaltered by human intervention. All the flowers in your garden have been bred for specific traits but originally stem from wildflowers.

They are excellent for biodiversity. A single healthy meadow can host over 100 species of wildflowers, which in turn support a plethora of meadow wildlife. For instance, the common bird's-foot trefoil is a food source for 160 species of insects, which then support mammals and birds like shrews and lapwings.

Wildflowers are a vital source of sustenance, providing bees, butterflies, and other pollinators with food throughout the year. Impressively, an acre of wildflower meadow can feature 3 million flowers in just one summer day, yielding 1kg of nectar!

Moreover, they are stunning to behold! By creating a small wildflower habitat in your garden, you can make a significant impact, which is sure to bring you joy.
