Adhoc works continue with Saughall Parish Council

Gareth Jones

Slowly but surely we begin to create a beautiful natural space for Saughall Parish Council's Golden Jubilee Fields

14 Sept 2022

Initially approached by Saughall Parish Council for a one-off project to restore neglected areas, we have continued our ad-hoc work through to 2024, enhancing the outdoor spaces for the community's enjoyment.

We delivered a landscape design proposal to increase biodiversity and wildflower areas, which was well-received, and reopened the ponds to their former splendor.

From pond and land management to tree reduction work, we have gradually brought this space to life with a wealth of ideas.

Inspiring and encouraging local council and domestic contracts alike, we have created a wildflower space of significant importance to the playing fields.

With a meadow of wildflowers being installed, a tapestry of color will emerge from bulbs like daffodils, tulips, and alliums, transforming this space spectacularly.

We have restored both ponds to their former glory with several days of winter work, cutting back and exposing the ponds, removing self-seeders, and opening them up for the public and wildlife to enjoy.

Let's see how 2025 unfolds with the installation of the bulb planting commencing this autumn/winter. We can't wait to share the final project with you all!
